We Thank You and Welcome Your Feedback
Dear respected Maarif parents and families,
We pray that this post finds you and your dear ones well and safe. While the covid19 crisis is developing rapidly and the statistics can be daunting, we wanted to take a moment to assess where we are as a community two weeks into our online learning.
First, we would like to thank both our students and their families for taking on the challenge of online learning. Our teachers have worked hard to bring education to all our students and the parents have played an integral part in motivating their kids and keeping them on track, Masha’Allah. Three weeks ago, none of us could have imagined that we would need to take these steps or that there would be no clear end date.
We also realize that the stress can be enormous. All of the children are at home, spouses may be working from home, finances may be strained. Keeping our children and ourselves healthy and safe in itself is a tremendous concern.
In the past two weeks, you have:
:
• Taken care of your families and their well-being
• Adjusted to the changing nature of this stressful situation
• Worked with the various needs of multiple students in your home
• Become familiar with new technology such as Google Classroom, Webex, and Zoom
• Reached out kindly to faculty and administration to resolve any issues
• Done your very best to support your children, family and our Maarif community, while dealing with your own unique situation
• Managed all of this and more, while also following the news about the pandemic, caring for families, and fulfilling your own professional responsibilities and obligations.
Because of all this, we wanted to give you our heartfelt thanks. We pray for all of you daily that Allah SWA will make the way forward easy for us; that He will keep us healthy and grant full sheefa to all those who are currently battling the virus; and that He will grant us all the very best of this situation and use these trials for our benefit, ameen.
As we begin another week of Maarif Online, we are so proud of our faculty who initially prepared for two to three weeks of virtual instruction but are now planning and preparing for an indeterminate length of time.
We ask that you continue to monitor your child/ren’s attendance and work. If you experience any change in your situation, please contact us so that we can adjust your child/ren’s workload and make
